1. User content & rights

— You confirm that you have the right to upload and license any content you submit.
— By uploading, you grant the public a license to use your content under the terms you select (CC0 or CC-BY).
— We may store, display, and distribute your submissions as part of the gallery.

2. Acceptable use

— No illegal content, harassment, spam, or malware.
— No copyrighted material unless you own the rights or have permission.
— No misleading taxonomy or intentionally incorrect information.

3. Moderation

We review submissions before they appear publicly. We may approve, reject, or remove content at our discretion, without notice, for any reason including quality, accuracy, or policy concerns.

4. Attribution (CC-BY)

If you use CC-BY licensed content, you must provide credit to the contributor. This typically means including the contributor's name and a link to the source when you use the image.

5. Disclaimer

Specimen Gallery is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Taxonomic information may be inaccurate or outdated. Content is intended for educational and illustrative purposes. We are not responsible for how you use images from this gallery.

Specimen Gallery does not guarantee scientific accuracy of identifications. Labels and classifications may evolve through community contribution.

7. Platform license & open source

— Specimen Gallery is an open, community-built platform.
— The software, site structure, and original platform code are intended to be open source and licensed under the MIT License unless otherwise stated.
— Specimen Gallery does not claim ownership over user-submitted content. Each submission is governed by the license selected by its contributor (CC0 or CC-BY).
— The aggregation and presentation of specimens is provided "as is" as a visual reference resource. We make no guarantees regarding completeness, taxonomic accuracy, or fitness for any specific scientific or commercial use.
